Growing roses?

I'm looking for a type of rose to grow, I really want red roses with long stems, as I want to be able to put them in vases. Any idea as to what type I should get? I'll be ordering from Jackson and Perkins; also, any growing advice? :)

1. If you're looking for red roses with long stems, you should buy hybrid tea roses. Try Mister Lincoln or Chrysler Imperial. They're red and fragrant too.

Plant them in a sunny location in the garden. Roses should get at least 6 hours of sunlight in order to bloom. Provide good drainage. Keep the soil moist, but not soggy. Do not let the soil dry out. I recommend Miracle Gro for Roses during the growing season. Remove dead flowers to encourage more blooms.

3. Any Tea Rose but don`t plant where roses have been grown within the last 10 years.
Deadhead the stem as soon as the bloom wilts.
Do this by cutting at a 45% angle downwards away from a node.
Feed with any rose fertilizer.
In winter cut down in size to avoid damage from wind using the 45% angle again.
